NWLRC Working Test Results: Puppy & Novice
On a mainly cold but dry day, although the clouds attempted a
few light showers, and the wind caused some difficulties at times, the
four Judges; Mr J Drury (A), Mrs J H Dunckley (B), Mrs M Crawford (NP)
and Mrs V Stanley (NP) had the task of separating some fine young dogs
over four tests completed in safari fashion.
All tests were reasonably stiff with 4 zeros being recorded from 13
dogs. at the end of the day 6 dogs ended the day in the 90's and 4 were
taken through for a run off following which the eventual order was
established as
Puppy:
First: Wayne Mitchell
running Labdom Roe
Second: Scott Marland running Boarscreek Alder
Third: Brendan Kelly running Norbreck Santa
Fourth: Mrs R McIlroy running Sealpin Gunna
The
windy conditions caused several upsets as the young dogs would not go
head on into the wind in the blind and diversion. After the test were
completed it left only 6 dogs without a failure so down to a run off in
which two got a zero leaving the final results as
Novice:
First: Linda Scott running Garagill Nancy
Second: Mark McGuirk running Gwrychbedw Dan
Third: Kevin Jackson running Magic Mercury of Wharton
Fourth: Brendan Kelly running Norbreck Santa
Certificates of Merit were awarded to:
L Scotts' Bitch Hawscot Moor Fern handled by her owner; and
M J Smiths' Dog Glen Avons Lionheart handled by his owner
Attending
both days was Mr Andy Biggar a professional photographer who took
